Nourri-Source Montreal offers, through its local community partners, the discounted rental or loan of Ameda Elite hospital-grade breast pumps. Our partners are spread all over the island of Montreal to make the service as accessible as possible.

Hospital-grade breast pumps are useful and effective for families experiencing breastfeeding challenges such as decreased milk production, induction of milk production, breastfeeding a premature baby, pumping breastmilk due to mother-baby separation, or other special situations.

Each breast pump comes with an accessory kit that is specific to each family and can be reused with other Ameda brand products as needed (for example : manual pumps).

Functioning

Each partner has their own set of Nourri-Source Montreal breast pumps.

Each partner has their own way of managing rental contracts independently with families (credit card imprint, cash deposit, photocopy of identity document, etc.) and managing the service. We therefore advise families to communicate directly with the partner to know the availability of the equipment and the terms of use (criteria for rental or loan, duration of possession of the equipment, etc.). The organizations give priority to families in their neighborhood (see the map below for the partners and their contact details).

In some sectors, it is the Breastfeeding Support Volunteers who take care of the breast pump rental/loans. However, the place of collection of the material is carried out at a partner organization.

Nourri-Source Montreal strongly recommends that families using a hospital-grade breast pump be supported by a Breastfeeding Support Volunteer. She will be able to answer questions and accompany families throughout their experience.
